Overview of Resources & Services

The Dickhaut Library endeavors to serve all distance and online students by providing the following resources and services. This page serves as an introduction. Click on the links and explore the other pages under the Distance Learning tab for more information.

Library Services for Distance Learners

  • Remote access to MTSO Dickhaut Library's collection of electronic databases, full-text journal articles, and e-books

  • Virtual reference services: e-mail and via phone

  • Research Consultations with librarians via the phone, e-mail and Zoom

  • Full access to the libraries’ electronic Course Reserves

  • Electronic delivery of chapters and articles owned by MTSO or obtained through Interlibrary loan and Document Delivery 

Physical Resources & Services:

  • Access to our physical collection within OhioLink and OPAL consortia service areas

  • Help with connecting with local and regional libraries for students who live outside of Ohio

  • Reciprocal borrowing with other private libraries (OPAL), as well as many university and college libraries 

  • Research assistance through in-person reference consultations
