LGBTQ+ Resource Guide

Welcome to the LGBTQ+ LibGuide for the MTSO community. This guide will help you discover some of the resources that are available in the library, among our e-resources, and beyond. We hope that this guide is helpful for you as you research and seek more information. 

The Dickhaut Library as well as other libraries within the OhioLINK community have an array of resources about and for the LGBTQ+ community. This guide will showcase some of the books, online archives, and community resources that are available for the MTSO community. Use the tabs to the left to explore these resources.

When searching for LGBTQ+ resources, you may need to utilize a variety of search strategies. Here are some search words and phrases that may help you find useful resources. Some of the search terms may be outdated or offensive. Please know that the Library of Congress is always working to update and change these, but the process takes time.

You can also use the subject heading identifier through the Library of Congress, which is available here. This resource can help you find additional search terms that may be useful. Simply enter a word or two that you are interested in researching, and a list of possibly relevant terms will appear. You can insert these into your library searches to find additional materials.
