Indentify Nuances with Boolean Searches

  • Use boolean searches to gain a nuanced view of a particular subject area, i.e. how integral a particular scholar is to their respective discipline, or how influential a particular place is to a given movement or historical trend.

Boolean Operators (AND, OR, NOT) are useful for expanding or limiting a search's results.

Conceptualizing boolean search results as a Venn diagram is helpful.
