To download ebooks from EBSCO and ProQuest, you will need to install a software called Adobe Digital Editions. This is a free software that can be downloaded for PC and MAC. Once you download this software, consult this page for a brief introduction to its features as well as resources for becoming more familiar with this software.
When you select the option to download an ebook in EBSCO or ProQuest, you will be asked to confirm that you have already downloaded Adobe Digital Editions. If you have not, links will be provided to do so.

While an Adobe ID is not required to download and view ebooks from EBSCO and ProQuest, it can make saving your notes and highlights much easier. It can also make viewing the ebook on other devices possible; otherwise, you will be limited to the device that you originally used to download the ebook. To create an Adobe ID, you can go online to the Adobe website, or you can create one when you open the Adobe Digital Editions software on your device.
