When you select the option to download an ebook in EBSCO or ProQuest, you will be asked to confirm that you have already downloaded Adobe Digital Editions. If you have not, links will be provided to do so.

Once you have successfully downloaded Adobe Digital Editions, you should be able to download and view ebooks from EBSCO and ProQuest. When Adobe Digital Editions opens, you will be able to see your Library, which will include all of the books that you have downloaded.

To view an ebook, double-click on the cover for the one you want to read. Once you double-click on one of the ebooks, the ebook will appear, and you will be able to view the Table of Contents, bookmarks, and search the book, using the options in the top left. To highlight the text, make notes, or create book marks, select the text with your mouse and right click to see these options. You can move to different sections by clicking on the links in the Table of Contents. To move to a different page, simply scroll with your mouse or use the up and down arrows to the left.

While an Adobe ID is not required to download and view ebooks from EBSCO and ProQuest, it can make saving your notes and highlights much easier. It can also make viewing the ebook on other devices possible; otherwise, you will be limited to the device that you originally used to download the ebook. To create an Adobe ID, you can go online to the Adobe website, or you can create one when you open the Adobe Digital Editions software on your device.
